• If you have a history of cold sores, it is essential to take antivirals before your treatment & have some extras available for post treatment also.
 • Avoid makeup at the time of your appointment.
 • Avoid laser hair removal or waxing on or near the area 2 weeks prior to treatment

• Do not touch the tattooed area with your fingers.
 • Colour will appear darker than desired for the first 48hours.
 • The area will peel around 5-7 days post procedure. Do not pick the flaking skin or formed scabs.
 • No water, soap, or cleansers on the treated area for 5 days, as this may cause fading & may discolour the tattoo.
 • Avoid makeup on the treated area until healed.
 • It is recommended that you return for a touch up appointment as recommend to you by your therapist, for any necessary adjustments.
 • You may experience some mild pain after the anaesthetic wears off, Panadol may be taken after the procedure to help reduce pain.
 • You may experience some swelling for 3-5 days following treatment. You can apply ice packs to the area immediately after treatment, for 5 minutes every few hours. Do not apply directly to exposed skin.
 • Each morning & evening, gently wipe the area with damp cotton round & then dry.
 • Using a clean cotton tip, apply a thin layer of arnica balm, bepanthan or silcione cream to the area, as often as required.
 • Lips may feel dry for 4-8weeks after the procedure.
 • Do not consume hot drinks for 5 days. Drink through a straw for 5 days after the procedure.
 • Do not use teeth whitening products for 1 week after the procedure.
 • If you experience any unexpected discomfort or symptoms of cold sores notify your cosmetic artist & consult a health professional immediately for further advice.
